Anyone fitted 700c wheels on a MTB frame?

I've slotted some into the drop-outs, but not built up. Most road rear hubs are narrower spacing though.

Other than that they fit in OK, but unless you're using discs, or some sort of weird adapter plate brakes will be a bit of a pain, as the pivots will eb in the wrong place.

You can get some adaptator for the brakes , Mavic do them . Jones has just sent me a pair . they lift your barkes and you can use 700cc wheels .

the axle is only 5mm shorter , so will be ok .

Any chance of some pics of the bike your using them on?

There was a very memorable Pace 200 built up as a cross bike on fleabay a couple of years ago. That looked stunning in a strange sort of way. 700cc wheeels I believe

Early model Paul Moto Lite V-brakes are a nice option for this type of thing as the pads can be mounted high on the arm.
