anyone else have trouble finding the correct BB?

I had a hunt around Sheldon and found this...

Seems to suggest that JIS is thicker than ISO so that a thinner Campag crank hole will not go down full on Shimano axle, which seems to back up the impression that I had from way back when?

The Sugino axles where the threads stuck out of the axle were really badly made and apart from the cheap Maxy we never used them.

Nightmare! After my time but is that why Shimano went to that funny octalink system?

I have used this fro some time in my Rossin Ghibli, (italian tread) good quality for the price and the taper is perfect for Campa. (and also light as the shell is in carbon)
