But a lot of you think there's nothing wrong with turning a bike upside downtown fix it, scratching the shifters and levers and saddle!

Yep, but they're MY shifters & saddle and I'll scratch them if I want to!
I've just turned my bike upside down to work on it and can hear the shifters scraping on the floor
