Any year/Info on this Marin Palisades Trail?

one of my very very very rare ebay finds that comes up trumps.
mispelled auction, nearby collection, didn't hit reserve price but got it on second chance.
£20.00
in goodish nick, paint all fine (chainstay protector etc.) some of the yellow has sctrached on forks/stem but not so bad- just seatpost seized at first look.
I'm just going to do some little bits to it i reckon, i'd like to get some weight off it so maybe some wheels if some come at the right price.. might even go single speed.
defo want;
saddle (something from that period but a bit lightweight looking)
quick release skewers (flouro green?)
maybe new canti's & brake levers?
all suggestions gratefully received, i'm new to the mtb scene in general but I can remember poring over the marin catalogues when I was just at seconday school 91/92 so this has really made my day.
