Yes i believe Answer and Azonic were too, but they were'nt slapped on XC bikes that often. Its all a matter of preference really, if it suits you go for it, if you do a lot of riding, pointless being crippled!

Yup, had some on the Zaskar, and ironically, whilst I don't use them on the bike now, I remember back then how much more control I had and how much more comfortable the bike was. Funny thing fashion.
