Any lawyers in the house?

Read it in the pay pal rules re opening a case. They become both judge and jury. You therefore need to supply as much evidence to pay pal as you can.If you had written to the trading standards and had received a written reply then a copy of that would be worth giving them. I supplied the gas engineers certificate saying my cooker was dangerous and should not be used and as said the next contact I had was pay pal saying they had found in my favour and refunded

I’ve no doubt about any of that. But where does it say you can’t contact the claimant?

Please don’t assume I don’t deal with this every day. So I’m intrigued by your answer.

May be on the e mail with the case ref no. I presume he does have one .I am going back to around jan this year .If you think about this you have asked pay pal to take the case over and make a decision and move funds around. They will not want you making bits of deals in the background. They need a clear run.Long time ago but back then it was there I am certain of that

So it doesn’t say it in the terms? But it ‘might’ say on a email …..

My full time business is online sales. I deal with several of these a week. Most bogus claims. But PayPal have never had issue with me coming to a resolution directly with the buyer if it’s a legitimate claim.
