any info on SIMPLEX Gran Sport rear derailleur?

Bump for this rare, oddball mech'. Really wish I'd been able to afford it but I think it sold for around a grand IIRC

It's almost identical to the Export 61, same innards and the plates and jockey cage is very similar. I know Campagnolo had a plant in Cognin, France to defeat the tariffs in the 50s, and branded some parts 'Campagnolo' France' so this may be an 'outre mer' production to get round copyright issues with Campagnolo.

A rare piece to be sure, how much did it set you back? Normally Export 61 would sell 150-300 for a good example.

Thank’s for the info, it’s intriguing for sure.
I believe the OP sold it on eBay for somewhere around £1K a couple of years ago; it was out of my league unfortunately.

If you know of a nice Export 61 for anything like £150 please let me know! A similar but less refined Raidexport 32 maybe, but not a decent Export 61 for that price

It is hard to believe it sold for £1K ... ebay is almost dead these days in my opinion.
