Another year, another build (warning...may contain Orange)

I'm at work, clearly not working typing this but it's keeping me from lifting the new frame again and conducting yet another inspection. It's an 17" Orange Gringo, I'm not sure about the year (Orange bikes website only allows warranty holders to register!!) but it has seen some action judging by the paintwork.
I've got two questions for any fans out there,
Has anyone removed the lacquer and polished up one of these?
and
Will Orange supply new decals or can I get them elsewhere?

The serial number should give you the year of manufacture.

I can't see any reason not to strip the lacquer and polish her up.

Orange do do decals but they got shot of loads of old stock ones at the beginning of the year! :( so the only way to be sure is give them a ring.

They are very helpful if you speak to them BTW. ;)

I'm contemplating looking for a similar frame to build a retro/modern build (I'd like to find a late 90s P7 with disk mount) so I'm looking forward to see what you do with this one.

Off to get some popcorn and sit back to enjoy the show. :D

Im looking to do a modern build possibly an Evo . . . . Yeah i tried Orange to get hold of decals for my X1, but like it was previously said they have stopped supplying them for the older bike . . . . but you dont know unless you try :p
