Another which tyre question.

700C road bike tyres this time.

After years of riding to work on a 30lb steel GT I've finally got myself a cheap road bike to commute on (with guards ) and as winter is on the way I would like some decent tyres. Grip in the wet and puncture resistance are the top priorities. I was looking at Conti Grand Prix 4 seasons but they are pretty expensive, so any recommendations would be most welcome.

I've had good luck with conti gatorskins, they grip well enough and I've yet to have a puncture with them

I'd second that. The Gator is almost as fast as a GP 4Season and definitely a bit tougher and harder wearing.
