Another FB 'crime against bicycles' special for only £900

Seems unlikely the front wheel would turn given the lack of clearance to the fork legs.
The bb is so long you could fit your arm between the large chainring and the Chainstay.
The pedals would probably strike the ground at a mild angle of lean.
Also the 135mm rear axle length won't match the dropout width.😢
Bet they are v brake levers🤔!

On the positive side, it reminds me how hard my job is🤣

Could be worse like the bloke on here saying he had a British Eagle 753 fair sale……then disappeared off the face of the earth when he was called out…. 😂🤦‍♂️

Hopefully this sad tale might have a happy ending, as thankfully this monstrosity of a bike has wisely been stripped down to a frame again. It's now on sale for £50, which is a surprisingly realistic price 😂.

As it's local to me, I thought I might as well take a look. As I already suspected from the odd decals, I'm now 95% sure it's not actually a Ciocc anyway, as it has no pantographing anywhere (all the examples I've seen have Ciocc stamped on the BB shell, and often on the seat stay caps too). The only certain thing is that it has a Silva brake bridge, it has been repainted (not particularly well), and it has a 4-digit serial number. I would guess it's Italian, and it's a nice enough frame, but on this occasion I was more sensible than usual and walked away...

To be fair (WHY?) he does state it's a CIOCC replica. I did message seller to suggest the ad header should make this clear.

I don't really think the phrase 'Ciocc replica' makes sense anyway. I mean, there are team replica bikes, but this is just a frame that's had some decals put on it, it's not any sort of 'replica'. Given the rest of the description, it very much sounds like they've used AI to write it – I mean, who would actually write "The smooth bottom bracket and headset allows for excellent control and smooth turning"?

I told the seller I didn't think it was a Ciocc, but he obviously didn't know anything about bikes and really wasn't that bothered. He seemed a nice enough bloke, and I don't think he's being intentionally dishonest or anything, it's just the usual world of dodgy online listings (Marketplace in particular being the worst for this).

There's a moral difference between bullsh1t and dishonesty.
It's just not always very big one.
