American Classic headsets question?

I am currently looking for a 1 inch threadless headset and saw an American Classic for sale on ebay that claims it is threadless but looks threaded to me. Does anybody know enough about them to be able to say?

Personally I think that's a threaded version. I had a 1 1/8 ahead version and the top cover wasn't threaded and was flat topped.

I could be wrong, but can't see the need for the thread unless it's for a threaded steerer tube.

I agree with you, but it's strange because the packaging looks like official AC box and instructions.
