Seeing the American stem reminds me of somebody on here who decided to file down the welds on his.... that didn't go down too well with some on the forum

Pure sacrilege. Those chunky coin welds are a ‘unique’ feature of these. Had one of those stems myself bitd. I prefer tiny neat welds but some builders can make a cool feature of large perfectly stacked coin welds.

I don't have any of those, had to buy a Dia Comp off eBay for the Salsa. I just looked and there are several types that could work with a little elbow grease.
