1992 wasn't zolatone.
My apologies, I used the term incorrectly. I'm very familiar with the 92 paint scheme having owned a couple. I used it to describe an early Marin 'trademark' paint scheme, in this case gloss flouro with contrasting matte black.
Indeed, but it wouldn't be a forum without individuals thinking they know best.
Incorrectly used term 🙋‍♂️, it doesn't really change anything. The bike is gloss black, it's meant to be matte black 🤦‍♂️Although it does make it look nice and shiny I guess with re-issue flite and Panaracers, even if not correct... or original! So yeah, if you post it on a forum where people have an eye for detail, they are entitled to share their opinions. GLWS

Haha. Pedantic?

Can I apologise to the entire Retrobike community, as I've listed a bike for sale, and Kult Friction' has rightly told me it's 'not correct, or original' as it has a 're-issue flite and Panaracers' and it's meant to be Matt black'.

I hadn't said in my listing it's 'Original or Correct' and for that I apologise. How dare I use the site and list the name of a bike (of which it is) and the spec of the bike (of which it has) and nothing else.

I was unaware there is rules on Retrobike that everything listed must be exactly as the factory spec some 22 years ago.

Wonder what people are saying over on the car forums, with people on the likes of Classic Cars listing Porsche Singers for sale at £800k+......."excuse me, it's not the original colour or has the same seat fabric as the base donor car", "how dare you list this for sale".

Thanks Kult, the world is a better place for you policing it.

Lastly, I've a large bunch of bikes from 30 years in the bike trade, would you mind if I send you the pics so you can tell me what's wrong with each of them too, so I can take to the tip and dispose of them immediately.
