Aluminium E stay bargain for retrobiker North London

The fabled Diamondback Alien... Or is it a Zaskar?
IMHO, and in all seriousness (something of which I seem to have in short supply lately 🤪), this bike, as KermitGKona88 has alluded to, is one of the all-aluminum Nishiki Aliens from 1992 – 1994 that has been stripped and perhaps even polished at some point before having DB decals affixed to it.

That said, all of those 7005-series aluminum Nishiki mountain bikes from 1990-199?, to include Alien ACXs and ending with the early Full Suspension models (FS Comp, FS-2, FS-3) have a history of cracking (see pic below), so be forewarned: Buyer Beware, or, as they say, “Caveat Emptor”.
…or is that “Carpe Diem”?
“Vidi, Veni, Vici”?
“Ad Hoc, Ad Loc, and Quid Pro Quo”?
“E Pluribus Unum”?
I don't speak Eskimo, but I think it’s one of those.

Cracks under the saddle follow the weld lines, whereas cracks in the headtube are vertical hairline cracks, either from the top down or from the bottom up. Run a fingernail around the top or bottom of the headtube next to the bearing races to find cracks.
