i can't remember an alloy DB till maybe 95
the arrival was a hybriy thing wasn't it ?
Dunno - rings a bell, but none of my brochures (91 and 95, haven't checked my 96 one) list it.

I expected, before I checked, that I'd find the arrival in the hybrid section of my 91 brochure, but the two hybrids, that year, were named Override and Approach, were both steel framed, and the latter seems kitted out with the recently thrashed around with and highly debated, 100GS groupset. 200GS was on the Sorrento in 91.

(in the style of Jazz Club...) Nice... really nice...

tho the dual response was alloy framed tho that was 94 ish response elite rings a bell tho , alloy h/t i think got a 94 catalog at home
Seem to remember the Response bikes from around 92-ish? Wouldn't suprise me if they started in earnest with some alloy frames around then.

like you neil i cant recall much about the alloy ones , they were a watershed for DB in my opinion went from iconic (ish) to mainstream

those 90/1/2 double page ads in the mags "vigilante ridge and the apex"
etc , just about my favorite adverts

If you google image search they all come up
There used to be a scanned 89 catalogue in the Achive but it seems to be AWOL mine was an 89 7005 ally tubing but strangely not oversized in any way and awful mud clearance

Yes, got the 95 brochure in front of me, now - the Vertex is a 7005 frame - cable routing on the tob tube looks different from most (all?) of the other bikes - the 3 cables are together on the drive side of the frame

I noticed that, I assume it's a prototype test frame for the photos as the text states '2+1 cable routing', as is my frame.

I'll get some scans up later when I've resurected my old complicator as they're all on there.

Preston, can't see your pic, can you add it as an attachment in this thread.

yeah the arrival, from my hazy memory, was from late 80's like 87-89... no oversizing (could have gotten a yellow one instead of my apex), but apparently they had issues with them breaking, hence them not staying around as they hadn't quite figured out the mass produced aluminium thing...

apparently.
