1999 Kona Chute - Pretty much built to original spec with some slight period changes where I couldn’t find the exact match

Cove Handjob -

Built as a mini mullet rigid with a Kona P2 fork, more modern wide bars and short stem, a 2x10 XT group and a 26 rear/27.5” front

Cove Hustler - Yet to be built!

Devinci - Absolutely no details anywhere about this bike but it’s a cool find. It had a range of parts on. Seized in there was a XT bottom bracket so I’m guessing it originates from 1997 UN72 and might have been equipped with XT. That’s how I plan to build it anyway!

Just to update my previous Canada post. The Handjob is built, the Hustler has all the parts and is waiting to be built, the Chute is awaiting a disc upgrade and well, there’s one more…

I picked this up late last year I think. It was almost a complete bike, just missing the wheels, chain and cassette. It sid randomly have a RaceFace CNC stem on with 25.4mm clamp while the bars were 31.8 Diabolus so I found a Diabolus stem to match. Recently found a wheelset to go on it too so it’s almost there!

Coming up on ten year anniversary for this thread. The don't-come-in-here-too-often Canadiana photo dump.

See that best brings back lots of fun time building trails in the Don with Jim in the early 2000's. Last I spoke to him in about 2009 he was coming down with something and then we lost touch as my life changed. I also remember him building really bright (for the time) headlights.

Ironically, between Ottawa and Montreal, I'm further south than you. There are spots in Ontario that got blasted this week, that are further south than places California
