ALAN Carbon

here further pics during a wonderful ride finding a nearly perfect backround for the bike - the bike is based orientated by the 1988/89s Teambike
of the Spanish TEKA-ALAN-MAVIC Equipe, esp. the bike of Marino Alonso (see last pic)

That's a lovely bike. You could well be correct about it being the licensed version as it doesn't have the Alan engravings. I wasn't aware that such an arrangement existed. I don't suppose it matters enormously in the grand scheme of things. Ridden it through two years now, it's a lot tougher than I would have suspected as I'm not the lightest😐

short remark - Italian company Carbon Valley has been belonged to Bernard Tapie. Refer the bankrupty of Belgian Company Donnay end of 80s, when famous Swedish tennis player Björn Borg retired from sport, Tapie bought Donnay and used among others his company Carbon Valley to produce carbonfiber road cycling frame sets for Donnay. The Donnay carbon fiber roadbike, named Donnay 3000, which had been the same base as ALAN Carbonio, refer Tapie bought a licence from ALAN for using tubes and muffles - Within the scope of this licence Carbon Valley produced a lot of frame set, but all without any ALAN engraving. In consequnce today many frames, which produced by Carbon Valley are sold by seller without this knowledge as origin ALAN without any notice to the license production.

On the other hand ALAN produce a lot of frame sets of the Carbonio for other manufacturer or labels, i.e. Carrera, Gueriotti and other. He also involved and supported Colnago within his Carbitubo Type end of 80s
