Here’s a frame I just had sent from the states and is sadly a little too big for me.

Size is large. ST C-C: 18.25”, ST C-T: 21.0”, TT: 24.25”
Serial No. A80056. I believe this is an early 2000 US version (but I could be wrong!).
The quality of this frame is excellent- I’ve tried to show this in the pics. There are a few marks/scuffs to the surface/some of the decals, but besides that the condition is excellent. I also have some nice new decals (large 'Airborne's for the downtube and headtube “A” logo) if interested.

I’m after 460 GBP which is what I paid.
Or swaps for a smaller one...

Airborne

That's a pre Chinese US built version, no Disc mount and no exterior headtube brace rings, will be well pre 2000 and also much lighter than the far Eastern versions, I have one in 16 (don't want to swap sorry) I've had most Ti frames and these out ride any other, inc Merlin 6/4 XLM's and Sandvick's, they really are superb, well under rated!
Free Bump btw

Hey world ranger, thanks for the info. I rode one a few years back and I've been lusting after one ever since. If I could just grow a couple more inches...

Ian, thanks for the swap offer; it sounds like a great bike but I'm on a bit of a Ti mission at the moment. ;)

Hi, I have a firiend who has brand spanking new warranty replacement Van Nicholas MTB frame that's not wanted. Fairly certain it's a medium.

I think there's a deal to be had

PM me if you want his details to make contact and discuss

I may try and sell my modern xc to raise funds for this, as need to add a ti frame to my collection. Out of interest, if I'm 6ft, would this frame suit? I should easily clear your asking price, it will just take some time to do. I'll have a think.

Cheers

WD, Thanks for posting the sizing chart- very helpful. It also made me remeasure and correct the sizing I originally listed.

It has a seat tube c-c 18.25" and c-t 21.0". The top tube is 24.25", which the chart shows as an effective length of 24.75"

Ian, to answer your question, I'm about 6 ft and while the seat tube is a good fit, I find the top tube to be a just a bit of a stretch. I think I might be able to make it work with a shorter stem; and if I don't find a good home for it, I'll probably give it a go. I really want to build it up and ride...
