Hi

So another needed element for my winter hack build. A set of air forks! I am used to Fox and Rockshox but could be open to other options. What they need to be...

- Air forks, no coil.
- Steerer 190mm min and 1 1/8".
- Disc mount fitting.
- Black ideally.
- Lockout would be nice
- As light as possible!

Looking at a max budget of £100 delivered.

Whadda ya got!

I could have something for you. Having just bought a new set of forks, I have a surplus. One fork I do have is a Reba sl. It's black, disc only and fairly tidy with a small issue - the core for the air valve on the fork lower is missing, but the fork still holds the air it has.

All is not lost as I've bought a replacement for the full internal on that side, just not had time to replace it. It doesnt have remote lock out, but does have crown lock out. I do actually have all the parts to fit a remote lockout to the fork, as the fork has the crown mount for a cable. If you were happy with just the crown lockout, when I fit the new innards, I can swap the csu over to one without the cable mount as I've a spare one in great condition.

If you are interested I can take a few pics. I can do the fork for around your budget depending on lockout option. It's cost me a bit more than £100 to get all the parts together as it stands, but as ive got some new forks now, I'd rather move them on than they gather dust. Another bonus would be they would have an oil change while I do the work, so will be in fine fettle.

Just finished swapping out the negative air spring, replacing the oil, coating the bushings with Judy butter, soaking the foam rings in 15wt oil , replacing a wiper seal with a good used one as one had a crack in the grey plastic, reassembling and refilling with oil and air. They are good to go now as is with manual lockout/compression adjust. Looking I to it, I'd have to replace the moco unit for remote lockout, as it requires spring tension for remote lockout to work, which is feasible as I may have a spare one.

the only issue I noticed with the forks is that there has been a bit of paint loss around/under the rebound adjuster which has resulted in a bit of corrosion to the lowers. Looks plenty strong enough to me, and I'd use them myself, but mentioning it as it's only fair to be honest about condition.

If you are interested, let me know and I'll sort some pics and come up with a nice price for them, as whilst they are nice forks, they aren't if they are sitting in my garage gathering dust.
