Hello,
just noticed this post so joined the forum. I have a GT Pantera with frame number H2L06900, so I suppose my bike was made around the same time. I bought mine second hand, as far as I can remember, in 1995. It was the blue version but as the paint was very tatty I stripped it down to the alloy. Wish I had left it alone now. The main thing is that I still have it, although the only thing original is the frame as I have used it as a home for spare parts when up-grading other bikes. I am now in the middle of up-grading everything on it, I have fitted Carbon Cycles Exotic Jump Creature forks and it runs a nine speed cassette with a single chainring and chain device and discs with a rear torque arm conversion. Twenty years old and I love it, a great little bike.
I also own an early Dave Yates road bike fitted with contemporary parts and a Lightspeed Velo with Sram Force kit.
Used to have a very early Sunbeam, probably 1920's, with an early Sturmey Archer and hub brakes but some shit stole it. One day I will find them...

Late Update....Here is the bike frame built up... not in a very retro way...
