Advice/tips on setting up a forum using phpBB

I'm helping out at a charity and need to set up a webforum for them. I was thinking of using phpBB and wondered if anyone could gives some tips or advice on that topic?

I did it once ages ago, it's easy. Google for help guides and get stuck in.

I remember the starfoxtj toolkit being very useful but I don't know if there is one for phpbb3.

phpbb is very easy to get to grips with. There are dedicated forums to help and the software itself is (or always was) quite self explanatory with a decent 'help' facility.

Best thing you can do is install it and work with it in your own time before you publish a live version...

Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a go and may be pm the Guv'nor John as he must have some useful tips from dealing with us lot!
