Advice please... devastated!!!!

Sad, but last week I found a crack in my Fatso too... I say a crack... across the flange body, THROUGH the ti sleeve, and up the other flange.

Think I've been lucky it hasn't gone on me. but as said, after 20 years, I cant complain. I suspect that although the rebuild did contribute towards the failure, it only accelerated the inevitable.

That is quite a discovery. To us in these sad times. Its like loosing part of the family!! Im just happy the spokes stayed in place and didnt damage the fork legs.

Wow, sorry to see that.

Having your Hope flange go like that, must be akin to the X-BOX rings of death or the cambelt snapping on a Twincam 16v motor.

It's not a proper flange without a crack in it though is it ?
