It's time i retired my Nike NGubas :(
Can someone recommend me some shoes for around £50 bearing in mind i have wide feet.
I know about buying one size bigger than normal.

Cheers M'dears
:D

A few manufacturers do a wide version now, I have some Giro 'HV' shoes which come up a little wider than their (in my experience) normally narrow shoe. Going a size up might work but I'd be wary of giving yourself too much room as this can be uncomfortable too. Specialized tend to fit a lot of people comfortably, they are not bad on the width front too.

Basically, go and try some on, then buy them from your LBS.

I actually went to sports direct today and bought a pair of muddy fox cycling road shoes for £30 the looks not to bad the quality isn't giro or sidi by any means but they're not bad worth a look if nothing else

Re:

I have wide feet, also a high instep, and find Specialized SPD shoes fit well. The sizing is good so no need to get anything much bigger than your regular size.

As above. Have some spesh spd shoes in my normal show size and they work a treat on my wide feet, unlike most trainers these days which seem to have thinned down over the years.
