Advice needed on this stuck seat post

Thanks I’ll check him out see what he says, but looking like scrap by the sound of it 😭. Appreciate all the comments thanks guys

I'd be surprised if any of the remedial action has had an impact on the bonding. It's inside the lugged section and not the seat tube. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm no engineer nor have I had to remove a stuck seat post but have owned a few bonded frames in my time, they've all been very solid, the lugged bits very well engineered to take the bonded tubes, whether ti or carbon.

Educate me, I'm all about the learning.

Sorry general reference to the bonded part maybe not helpful! It’s the bit below I’d be worried about. I’m sure the lug its self is fine. Hasn’t it stretched the metal of the tube both inside the bonded part and where the shape of the screwdriver is?

Almost looks like the tube is split from the screwdriver could just be the paint. I just wouldn’t trust it myself. Maybe a nice long seatpost well in to the tube could work but that’s just too much maybe for me! I guess if it were something that holds great sentiment or is very rare it would be worth replacing the tube if you can find someone who will work with bonded construction. I’ve had a few frames (one was my own fault!) where seatpost removal has damaged the tube. I scrapped/gave away all of them. I do know at least one was revived by an engineer who wanted to have a go at brazing in a new tube himself, the scrap frame being a no financial risk attempt. That was conventional construction though.

I’ve got nothing against bonded frames and own/ride a few. Just feel very uneasy about anything to do with the structure of it being compromised which in this case I’d say it has.

So far nothing looks compromised yet all still solid but this is why I stopped tbh I don’t want to push my luck 😂, I’ve cut along the post inside & where the posts sheared I put a screwdriver between the post & frame, but instead of folding the post in it’s chose to start digging out, at the minute it’s only the paint damaged the frames not cracked thankfully but think if I carry on it will, had a few stuck posts but nothing like this 🤯 think I’ll have another pop at it gently & see what happens, if it’s scrap I can’t do any harm but if it can be saved I’d like to

I see what you mean, I was focussed on pic 2 that I hadn't even spotted the paint cracking on the seat tube below the lug. Maybe linked to the attempts to remove?

have you attempted any penetrating lubricant? after soaking I would drill a hole or 2 into the side of the post large enough to insert a hardened rod then try levering it upwards. or clamping a set of vise grips onto the post then lightly tapping, hammering the vise grips upwards.after soaking in a good lube.

Hello,
I would apply copious amounts of penetrating fluid leave to soak.Use pipe or tube correct diameter.Support bottom bracket with block of wood.Tap the post down inside the seat tube until there is clearance for your new post.Repeat the process and apply more penetrating fluid and tap until the post moves down.Very successful method of salvaging your frame

I’ve got a Commencal Meta in my garage where you can actually feel the differences in the seat tube, I don’t think this method would work. My only option when I can be bothered is the hacksaw blade down the inside.
