Adjusting Magura's for thinner rims (have searched)

Ian,

You can download the pdf manual from:

http://www.magura.com/en/products/older ... loads.html

This is for the 2005 HS33, some of the mountings (EVO2) and the look of the levers is different to your older Racelines, but the pistons, clamps, hose and bleeding instructions are the same as ever.

I have a bleed kit/ olives/ hose cutters etc. You can borrow if needed. Rest assured the whole process is 100% easier than disc brakes...

All the best,

my rear brake has always been slightly too far away from the rims. didnt see that the black collar could be moved! really useful info here! nice one chaps, thanking you kindly!

Thanks for all the help and glad it was of use to others :)

Yes I needed adjustment on the black things, and yes they are uneven - but this was intentionally to reduce the amount of wheel twist when they are applied. Not sure if the wheel has slack spokes or isnt central but got it sorted anyway.

And then did full lap of Dalby, in the wet, with extra black sections and an extra downhill (so about ~40km) and wore out the adjustment back to the bars again

I'd ordered new pads last week to make sure I had spares, so I'll have to fit those and do any adjustments. Maybe go back to the wide spacing, working brace with the differance taken up by new pads.

Fronts need attention too now
