Chaps,
I'm in the enviable position (for me!) to be finally picking up my brand new bike in a week or so (I haven't ridden for the thick end of 5 years?). I am wondering, last time I bought new I was able to ask the LBS to chuck in a couple of bits (lock, lights etc.) but on the new bike I'd like to ask them to change the pedals for DMR flatties and maybe a seat clamp as I don't want to be QR.
Am I in order to ask for this? The bike in question (2014 Cube Acid 29er) is already reduced by 15% and I will be buying a lock at the same time so it will be £700 transaction. I don't want to push my luck but thought I'd ask you guys what you thought and garner some differing views.
I have already placed a £50 deposit on the bike as it was the last in that size so am kinda shackled to buying from them as opposed to online, I just wanted to support my LBS if you know what I mean?
Anyway thanks for listening guys and please let me know what you think.
