nice. who made those? I think both sweet wings and morati did ti cranks but heard the later were prone to cracks...

Bizarrely I don't know, they are hand numbered so I don't think that many were made, they are 94bcd so mid 90s, they are a machined and welded with a bold on alloy spider so tougher than tubular Morati but beyond that I am not sure...

This is what is so good about this forum......I maybe posted a poor example of potentially semi decent kit.....but forum members post quality replies with some stunning examples of what is available.

Helps noobs like me learn what to watch for and also see some exotica at the same time....:)

Chappeau, they do look lovely and if you ever want to sell those, give me a nudge... although not till after Xmas at least. I have a nice ti bike they'd work well with.

I always loved the look of the Sweet Wings ti ones but so few made it to the UK, I could only ogle at pictures. I nearly once bought morati but then heard about them cracking. :(

cannot be fixed, 120 quid for wall art.
What about shims ? Shims as in wedge shaped, worked to fit approximately :?

Create some thin tapering wedges. Hammer in to the spacing, mark, remove, cut and refit. Just an idea like :?

Iirc I saw spot welds on stretched CBR crank tapers and then regrinding the taper edges on a US forum. Also seen other cracked alloy cranks rewelded and refurbed.

we've talked a bit about that as a possible solution over on the anodising near London thread.. I guess it would an interesting exercise with a decent alu welder to see if it could be done... not so many ti welders in the UK. Anybody know a good alu welder?
