Abused looking CinderCone with unrealistic start price (imo)

Mountain LX parts suggest it's actually an '89 which was the only year for Mountain LX, before that it didn't exist and in 1990 it was renamed Deore LX and STi came in.

I think its the 1990 that is the pick of the early Cindercones, still having the U-brake but with XCD6000 group.

whatever it is its a good example of an unloved kona. Who in their right minds has a chain like that? And is proud to take a pic of it too?
I think its a joker with that starting price?

It's a 1996 frame, in the late-season option colour scheme.

It has quite good kit, fork, wheels etc so it ought to raise more than the starting price, although I must say I agree that setting a high starting price isn't the best way to attract bidders to an auction.

Hey DrCarlos, you forgot to put the frame size in your ebay advert.
Apart from that, it looks a super clean bike!
I got one of these(1990 splatterpaint)in 19" which i've owned for the best part of 15 years, tho not as good condition as yours, i have a couple of the stickers missing and a few non-original parts on it now.
Hope you get a good price for it, looks really nice!

It's not my ad :) . It was the auction that I got sent to when I clicked the link that the op put up. Everyone else got sent to the abused '96.
It is a nice bike though as IIRC was up for sale a couple of weeks ago but didn't sell.

Carl.
