I personally wouldn't bother getting the headtube faced, if you've got an even coat of powder on there then surely the faces will still be parallel.
The tap set that the history man suggests would be a good investment for cleaning up threads but you'll need M10x1.0 for the mech hanger which isn't the standard M10 that you'll get in a set.
Very good work so far BTW, partularly the seatpost melting, I may possibly have a similar challenge coming up.
