One possibility regarding the frame's origin, and the reason why the headbadge holes don't look very "factory" and why I can't find any transfers under the paint: maybe it was supplied as a replacement?

After a gentle reminder from Guy Redshaw that I was slacking ( and he has just built a modern Stooge Klunker) I thought I would put a bit more time into the BSA. The front brake cable tensioner has been a bit of a challenge but after cannibalising a few bits I have managed to find a solution.

The rough alloy seatpost has been polished and fitted. Just need to sort the rear brake and then onto the gearing, a few problems to overcome there but that's the point of the journey.

Finally got my Mojo back to get the Klunker finished for the York Retro Show. A day of head scratching and problem solving but the end is in sight. Just waiting for gear cables and suitable frame cable clips ( had to get some NOS campag one's...so just remortgaged the house). The front drum cable connector is still sticking so may need some advice on solving it

First thing I thought I'd take a look at is whether I could accommodate cruiser/klunker 2.125 tyres, so I grabbed the first set of wheels I had to hand....View attachment 570979
