A Torus Titanium Find Now Finished

Re: A (not so) Lucky Ti Find

TBH, i had a load of conti stickers given to me by the conti man when i was riding for raleigh.

Even though i was using all sorts of tyres (Michelin, Conti, Panaracer and others!)

Re:

Well I've just got this back from being welded and the repair is functional but definitely not going to win a bike beauty pageant!

Re:

Here it is...what are peoples honest thoughts?! I did only cost me the price of a couple of pints so can't grumble. The rest of the frame isn't perfect so didn't warrant spending a fortune in my opinion. The frame number looks a very normal E44210 ?

Re:

If the welder has ensured the weld filled the cracks, you should be able to grind it flush - at least on the seat tube. With a bit of patience it could be disguised quite well..

My thoughts too and he said the cracks are filled but I think its best left as is now!

Re:

I'm starting to put it together now. I have just acquired these Rc35s at a bargain price thanks to Tim (minifreak) and after much stress and tlc have them working like new again. I think they suit the frame nicely.

Re: A (not so) Lucky Ti Find

Looking good, really like the polishing work on the forks :)
Going to be a classy rider.

Re:

So after being on the back burner for a month or so I have got around to starting to hang some bits on the frame. About to build up the wheels(thanks again Minifreak for the Ateks) and then just in need of some suitable tyres....any suggestions folks? :D

I think some brown wall conti cross country would look sweet with the polished frame - keeps the connection going as well
