A Rather nice Dogs Bolx build

Good to see serious experienced builders are going as well as the start-up beardies - fancy website, weeks training course, arty marketing guff written for them, overpriced and underskilled.
Having said that Im tempted to go see for real before making my mind up. Some of the newcomers may well be good, others will fall by the wayside. Hartleys detailing looks very pretty, tasteful even.

Re:

That Varohna is a simply beautiful frame. :D
I have just returned back to a steel frame after many years on an aluminium full suspension frame.
Bought a second hand Cotic Soul 853 and i'm in love with cycling again !!
How much does a Dogs Bolx frame cost these days ?

Re:

Liking that, good to see them being rebuilt since Chas retirement.

I have a 21" frame if your interested.

Re:

The cost of the Dogs Bolx is largely dependent on what it is made out of. I would imagine that 853 is gonna set you back somewhere around the £1800 mark for a single colour. But give Winston a call and he is a mine of information and loves talking about steel.

His website is a bit thin at the mo (I helped him bolt it together) because he is all about the steel and not computers and stuff so getting product pictures is gonna take some time.

I have built the frame up and it looks great. I dontt want to ride and get it muddy though; how sad is that? :D :D :D

Re:

I've only just spotted this thread, but I saw the bike at Bespoke and chatted with one of the guys there.

Re:

There's my baby! (glad someone has taken a picture, because since Bespoked it has been stuck in the garage behind a cement mixer because some burly gentlemen are working on the outside of Chez Sletti! :( )

It's gonna be on display at the Spin Cycle Show next weekend, but I want the weather to be perfect for the inaugural ride.

Give us a shout and we'll come and strew rose petals in your path.

I've bin thinking about a road bike...

Re:

Winston has not said anything about Spin this weekend so maybe it's not gonna happen for him now.

But if you want steel for your road bike, he comes highly recommended.

BTW, make sure those rose petals are yellow as I think it will set off the green pearl rather nicely.
