A barn find at last

Just collected a Claud Butler Coureur of 1964 vintage. It's all there as if it's not been used for decades. The lycett has no sag. The Club Special guards are still A1. There is some rust, but the layers of filth seem to have protected it?
Its flamboyant green with red/white bands.
The only thing missing is the front brake lever clamp so its hanging off. Looks like they tried to do something and lost the clamp and put it to the back of the shed.
I only intend to clean it and fit new tyres before use.
New cotton tape as well.

Will grab a picture asap. Looks like its as originally supplied. Lots of little chips, but doesn't need more than a good clean up. The chromed rims seem the hardest hit. The hubs are very smooth fixed/free units.
Thanks for the spare part over. I have the band/clamp it's the captive nut that's missing?

If you look at CB history you will find that by mid 60s CB bikes had been built by The Holdsworthy Company, to fixed designs, for several years There is no way this is a classic bike, more like a well built mid range bike priced for the teenager market.

A top end classic road bike by 1964 would cost £60 to£80, the CB catalogue is the more popular £25 to£35.

There was a top frame in a fixed design for about £14, both in CB and Holdsworth (same frame), but for this price most users would have specified their requirements to a small hand builder.
