It looked a lot better before he had it painted (even if you trust him that it's the same frame!) IMO, he has knocked a substantial fraction off its value, and the BIN is quite optimistic.

If you're going to do that, it would make sense to photo the serial number before and after as proof.

Good point regarding the ID of the frame. It does belong to a member on here though (GearlessinSeattle) so no doubt anybody reading this who is interested could PM him to confirm frame numbers etc.

I also agree that losing the original paint is a bit of a crime, I really like the graphite paint with the '99 decals, very classy :cool:
 
It is the same bike as in the photo's. When I painted it I thought I would have it for sometime, but, like most people on this site we are always looking for that dream bike. Mine came by the way of a Dekerf Solitaire.
So, this has to go. As far as the price, something is only worth what one is willing to pay.:)
 
A matter of taste, surely? I think it looks just fine in its new "coat". If it weren't too long in the top tube and in UK I'd be in...
