Hi Retrofolk
I made a little progress today, getting the first coat of yellow on the frame, having been patiently waiting all week for the primer to dry properly.
Appologies for bad picture, due to fading light outside and strip lighting in the garage. Was pretty tricky to do evenly, I'm definitely not Banksy! Although apart from a couple of areas, it looked ok once it had dried.
Also, I got around to cleaning the brakes up for the bike.
In fairly good condition, but the pads will need replacing soon. Also, the paint on the levers needs a bit of attention.
Been gathering various other parts for the bike.
There's an NOS rear changer and rear mech before your eyes
Have a couple of options on the stem length, depends on the reach
Nice Bontrager wheels, shod with Ritchey Z-Max 1.7s
Not sure about the saddle yet, depends on how the colour matches the frame. I do have a spare black standard Flite if it's a long way out.
Not decided what chainset to get for it yet. Can't really run to XTR, XT would be ok but not sure of ring replacements. Maybe not even Shimano. I'll just see what's about I guess. Any ideas out there? Keep it clean!
