Having said that, why not two themes;; retro-mod pre 98 and retro-mod post-98?

Yes. But no one would vote for it if they were of sane mind and had an milligram of decency on a forum like this.

Such a thing would be best in a section of whatever forum in a section for whatever modern tat you would like to show.

Being traditionalists here, I'm thinking more on the lines if like a Octalink V1 bottom bracket is put in a Litespeed Ocoee - it's about an equivalent to a Victorian woman showing a knee cap or a shoulder blade, you know, something progressive but still tut-tut and very daring which could upset the establishment.

Sorry, just being a bit facetious.

I think it is a good idea, for pre-97 and also for later bikes say up to 04-ish, started to get a bit bland after that.
