To me or to you???

Ye might try a nice pic and posting in the MTB fer sales section..... :p

Ooh, sorry, it's for me. Also, what can I look out for to see if it is actually a '97 model?

Serial number is usually the best way of tellin'- that said, I know nowt about Specialised S/Ns....... :p - ye may want to post yer question in the "Retro MTB Chat" section for attention of speccy experts.
Any specialised hardrock would be worth a tenner, though, unless it's really trashed if ye ask me.

I'll take ya advice. I'll get a nice picture and then post it in that section.
If you can't tell, I'm new to the board, so I saw "1997" and guessed it belonged here. Sorry for the trouble.

Peck.

Heh..........I suppose the various sections of the forum are a bit of a maze for newcomers- I've just been clicking 'view new posts since last visit' for years :p

'Course, if ye do snag a nice frame for a tenner, it'll be just the start.........

Of course. I was planning on giving it a nice touch of paint etc to start with. Then keep the frame and upgrade parts until I have a nice bike :D
I'd also make it single speed, but I'm not sure yet. I have always like how rigid single speed's have felt. But I guess gears are nice on long rides. So unless I get a good single speed ratio, I'll just keep the gears.
