Hi, I run a small workshop in Carlisle, Cumbria
A customer sadly passes away last month & his Wife has got intouch for help valuing & possibly selling his bikes.

Proflex 857 Expert Series
Everything looks period (original?) apart from the Brakes & Wheels
Carbon Noleen fork, Carbon swing arm & Risse damper, both holding air & appear to work OK.
Everything seems in decent enough condition, no play in the fork or back end.

Anyone able to give a rough value?

Sadly bike sales are dead in the water and you'd be hard pressed to sell this for more than £300 at the moment. The fork alone commands half of that price if not more. The fact it has the Risse shocks is a selling point. You may do better splitting and selling the frame and fork together for £250. Someone may come along and disagree in a minute tho'

It is a conglomeration of very nice parts. The carbon fork, carbon swingarm and Risse air shocks are quite nice. I'd ask $350-400 and be pleased if it sells quickly for $250-300.

W,
Is it still for sale??? What size (looks like a Large but might be a Medium) It's been modified from original, but I've got 4 (Proflexs) and it might be a good addition to me (In Scotland).....K

It went for £250, could've maybe held out for more, but kinda needed it away, the chap who bought was a nice guy so I'm sure it's gone to a good home.

W, Thank you for the feedback. Most are now 25 - 30 years old and many are (very) well used. In the UK many I've followed have been over advertised, but I've seen well used actually sold at £80 / £120, the few in good at £180 - £250 and precious few at mint with low miles at £250 / £300. Thanks with your regards ............ I'll continue looking and adding more Proflex for my collection ....
