'97 Muni Mula seat post clamp - help needed please.

Hi all

I've either got fat or clumsy (actually both) and have stripped the thread on the seat post clamp for the above bike.

Can't find the size referenced anywhere either on the clamp or online. My callipers are reading 32.4mm when measuring from the sides of the frame and the seatpost is 27mm.

Have looked into replacing it but the size appears to be non standard/wrong.

Anyone know what the correct size is or have a suggestion as to what would fit?

I'm pretty sure it's 31.8 / 32mm OD.

As Hamster has said, the 1997 Muni Mula requires a 31.8mm Seat Post clamp.

That size usually comes up a bit larger when you measure across the Seat Tube, but just open the clamp up a bit with a quality plastic tyre lever. You can find the correct Grey Kona Seat Post Clamp easy enough - or possibly helicoil / hankbush the one that was stripped.

I have a black Kona QR clamp off a 2000 Kaboom that should fit...any good?

If its the right size I'd be interested. Although that would scupper the excuse of buying a new bike just for the clamp..
