97 GT Lightning build thread

How did you ever solve the seatpost issue with this one? My Lightning is missing the insert collar and the 27.2mm seatpost I have for it is too small. Do you have a 27.4mm post or did you use some shim there (or did you have the insert collar with the frame)? Thanks!

I bought 2 different 27.4 posts and both didn’t fit. Ended up using a 27.2 with a shim. It’s not ideal but on basis I’ve ridden it once since being built I don’t think it’ll be a issue.

I’ve still got the original 27.4 it came with which fits perfectly but it’s just a plain black one so not bling enough

Yeh a bit of beer can. It’s not great if I’m honest but works.
