The Mountie sorted me with the frame, Mike muz the forks and loads of old stuff I’ve had kicking around and a few new bits curtesy of this lovely forum
It’s nowt special, but my first “good” mtb was one of these but with the max sport forks, which I broke two sets. I had an early production one with altus/alivio mix which slowly got upgraded to lx, dx and a little xt when I could. Ride it to death , raced it, jumped it, learned lots on it and it took me everywhere I still hold with fondness today. I didn’t want to rebuild it as was as it changed too any times and wasn’t standard from day one so a sympathetic similar build was on the cards. I love it tbh, it takes me and my youth for rides locally and reminds me of the fun times in Plymouth and up here in Lincolnshire
