'94 Marin Zig Zag Trail

Has anyone ever seen or heard of one of these? they're in the '94 catalogue and seem to be quite high spec placed between the Pine Mountain and the Team Marin

Nothing beats putting two extra weak points in a frame for blatant stupidity, did look cool though - banned from racing IIRC - danger of piercing injuries or something.

My buddy rode a Zig Zag before moving up to an Ibis. Pretty nice bike, I rode it hard once at Cave Run, KY while my Fat was getting repainted. It met an untimely death when he loaned it out and the kid riding it got run off the road by a car and stuck it in a ditch.
Here is my buddy (yellow + blue jersey) and the Marin at the DiDi Mau Race in 94 or 95:
