11.9 kg ist the weight of my Hei Hei. That's roughly 10% of the rider's weight, so pretty OK for my taste!

Not sure if I keep the stem, I like the looks and the craftsmanship of the moots, but the overall flexieness of the ride is just a little bit to much for my taste. A Thomson Elite in black it will be then, to match the seatpost.

I don't really get what "twangy" means, but I get the Picture!
I also like the feel of the Hei Hei, it's forgiving but still precise.

This build got me back into riding bikes for fun!

Recent Changes include a new stem (crmo) and handlebar (ti) from ibis and drivetrain (now XTR-900).

This thing fits like a glove now!

I think Konas are pure workhorses!
They might not be the rarest breed, but they definitely deliver.

A rigid fork lies in the very far future for this frame... probably not before it's becoming a wall hanger!
