94 Kona Explosif owners

I'm rebuilding mine as a single speed.

But I need a seat post, I'd like a USE alien in silver as they look great and will do the build justice.

But I'm a bit stuck on the tube diameter, is it 27 or 27.2?

Normally 27mm but others will say they have fitted a 27.2 :roll:

27.0 unfortunately, as 27.2 posts are easier to find. I have in the past reamed out seat tubes with internal roughness and in some cases the next size post could be fitted. If no internal problems exist search for a 27.0 post. IMHO Kona's are wonderful bikes, especially any Explosif!!!

So I'll be bunging one of those beauties in.

No it's not fluted its got a butted/tapered seat tube. I've only seen one fluted DT and that was in a photo.

Yes it is. Not all 94 Explosifs have a fluted down tube incidentally.
