93 Specialized Hardrock

Found it at a dump minus wheels. Put some old ones on and loved the ride, now spent around £35 on it, not too bad.

And some religious based bling that I found in Horsell Common.

Spec:
Frame + Forks - Tange Cromo
Wheels - Acera Hubs on Sunn No.5 Orange Rims.
Chainset - 300lx Biopace
Mechs - 200gs
Shifters - LH Sram X.7 RH 200gs push push
Brakes - Alivio Cantis, I still have the originals somewhere
Saddle: Marin
And plenty of yellow bits

huz the cranks over the hedge and fit some lighter ones then it'll weigh around 11.5 kg

Been thinking about that but trying too keep it under a fiver. Spent 4 of that on a shifter

One way to keep the price down was to steal the wheels, tyres and brakes off my old bike, which is now just a frame.

Found it I think :roll:
The colour was what was throwing me, but i knew I had seen that colour before. I am going by the colour and the spec but it looks like it started out as a 91 Hardrock metro. Originally in the states these came with mudgaurds, rack and lights.
I will post up a pic once I get one scanned when I get back from tonight.

Early Hardrocks and Rockhoppers were superb bikes. Yours looks like a great example.
