If so how much wear / milage has it seen, will it be ok with a new chain ??

Yes I do. As for mileage, it would only be a guess but I would say less than 200 miles in its entire life, and most of that from August to October last year.

As for will it be ok with a new chain, I would not like to guarante it , I'm sure there are more technically minded people that could answer that one.
