Bought as a stripped frame from Coomber a while back - I've just fitted Gil's decals (I know, they're 1993, but I'm not a total purist) so it's just about finished.
Paint is rattle can "distressed satin black" with gloss black forks. It's ok, not great but ok. Here's the spec. -

Headset : no-name ebay cheapo but alloy & surprisingly decent.
Stem: Salsa steel 135mm with ti expander & clamp bolts
Handlebar: Outland 580mm 170 gram flat

Nice bike! Mine's an 1992 SE - shown here when I just got it home and fitted some new tyres and LX V brakes.

Looks like you've done a really good job on it jimbo, well done fella am really impressed.

Bet it's a nice ride.
 
Even though the part of my heart dedicated to Marin's is reserved for Zolatone finishes, I actually really like that. :cool:

Can't help thinking a black seatpost would set it off better, but that's just my own opinion :oops:
 
Well that's pretty positive, thanks guys. It does ride quite nicely. I should do a back to back comparison with my '90 Eldridge. Really need to sell that one though. Tried on here but no takers.
I just wish I could suss how to post decent quality photos on here. I have to re-size them so much that the resolution disappears. What to do?

Another little prob with these wheels is that the ancient Ritchey tyres slip round pulling the valves off-centre. I hid them in the photo! Any thoughts on stopping that?
 
In terms of posting decent pics, get yourself a photobucket account (if you don't already) and then upload the pics on there, then post the '' link on here. :wink:
