92 Kona Explosif build..

OK-Kazunori

Old School Hero
Just picked this up, I’ve wanted an Explosif since the early 90s so when this was posted on eBay 20 minutes away, I knew it was the one for me. Bought from a nice chap who bought it in from a shop in 1994, it’s been gathering dust in his shed for a few years so it’ll be nice to get it back on the trails! All he has done since he had it was grips, saddle and tyres so I’m interested to understand more about its spec. Mavic 117/231CD rims on XT hubs. Ritchey Logic canti’s and levers. XT thumbies and F/R mechs. Deore chainset with Onza Buzzsaw middle ring.
Thanks for any help!

Nice base.
Looks mostly original apart from saddle, seatpost and tyres.
Looks like your seat-post mounted rear brake cable collar has been butchered? If it works, that’s fine, but worth looking out for a replacement.
These ride lovely - enjoy!

Thanks yep I figured something has gone on with the brake collar, it looks a bit odd and I'll keep my eyes peeled for a replacement for that, and the seatpost!
