'92 Explosif - Modified. Unpure.

I'd be sticking with the condor for sure, especially if it's essentially a like-for-like in terms of a-c length.

I ran some triple butted P2's on a Lava Dome, and they were very comfy indeed. But I can't see the Condor forks being any less flex-y or compliant.

Been getting the commute miles in on this. Also joined a mate on a quick road spin out Sunday morning. Don't need curly bars 😜

My bro reckons I'm a heathen for not running a P2, but I reckon it works. Visually, it's very different to most konas without the straight blades... I kind of love the fact it's a bit of an oddball ugly duckling. I bought the frame already modified with the disc mount, so I've never had any desire to run it as a retro MTB.
I think that ship sailed as soon as the welder went anywhere near it...

I have, however, seen a P2 on eBay, it's disc mount and the listing says is 400mm a-c (ish). Although it's a more modern fork, so I'm dubious it's that short so wouldn't suit this frame.

The main reason I stumbled across this Condor fork I'm running was that it's the correct (395mm) a-c for a '92 Kona.

So do I have a P2 dabble?
Or just forget about it, since this fork works and I like it....? The Condor is even Tange infinity tubing, so that works with being same stable tubeset as the frame... As well as having a gold Tange decal to match the frame!

Think I've just convinced myself, but feel free to disagree.
Best thing about second hand parts in my view is that if we buy at the right price we can try things and if it’s not right, just sell it on with no or very little loss. Well it’s how my system works. Buy the P2s 🫡

Mmm, I've asked the seller for more info. His fork has canti studs as well as disc mount.
I wonder if they're off a rove or similar?
I've just looked on konaworld and they list a rove P2 fork (disc only) with 395 a-c.
Shipped from Malta though so I'll have to pay some import jazz 😕 no idea what that might be.
