i think i will have to now.ive spent so long filing the inside that the 26.8 that used to clamp up now doesnt and i cant be arsed messing around any longer so will get a 27.0 and cross my fingers...

Incidentally, the Tange Concept seat tube is a 28.6 with 0.6 gauge, leaving 27.4 - that's why a 27.0 should fit easily and a 27.2 just about. The fact that the 27.2 goes in two inches ok suggests that's really the right size, so it's a pity about the reaming.

I have a 94 Kilauea with the same seat tube and that takes a 27.2 - it's tight but it doesn't stick.
